Audiobook dilemma "Scots or not to Scots?"

While the printed word is coming together wonderfully for the Border Lords Honour, I am looking at the audiobook version.

First things first - there are definitely Scottish accents!

The problem is deciding if the whole narration is in a Scots accent (apart from dialogue by non-Scots), or if just the dialogue is in Scots.

I am going to get a short section narrated in both styles and then see what you people out there think. It is all very well me thinking how you want to hear the book, but I don't really know.

Listening to other Scottish Romantic novels there seems to be a whole mixture. Some with hardly any discernible Scottish burr, while others are all Scots. Admittedly the latter format is much rarer with most having a neutral general British accent for the narration with various character voices for the main protagonists.

Rest assured regarding the Scots accent - my narrator has a genuine accent. I have seen (and heard) some quite strange accents that purport to be Scottish. A bad accent can destroy a good tale so my narrator is a true Scot and Border-man.

I may as well get the genuine article as I live on the doorstep!

I will post the two versions and let you know. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
